LSAT/Law School Admissions | Harvard Law School JDP
I'm a graduating senior at Emory University, double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy, Politics & Law with a 3.98 GPA. I scored a 171 on the LSAT, placing me in the top few percent of test takers, and was admitted to Harvard Law School through its Junior Deferral Program, which admits a small number of college juniors each year. I have recently and successfully gone through every stage of the process my students are facing, and I bring that firsthand perspective to each session. For the past six months I have tutored the LSAT one-on-one, working online with college students and working professionals preparing for law school. Every student begins with a diagnostic test, which I use to find patterns in their mistakes rather than just their score: whether they are misreading question stems, falling for particular trap answers in Logical Reasoning, or losing the structure of dense Reading Comprehension passages. From there I build a study plan around each student's timeline and target score, teach the reasoning behind each question type, and review timed sections together so students learn to catch and correct their own errors. My goal is for students to understand why the right answer is right, so their improvement holds up on test day. I also help students with law school admissions, including personal statements, "why law" and diversity essays, resumes, addenda, and building a balanced school list. Having written a successful application to Harvard Law as a junior, I help students find the story only they can tell and present it with clarity and honesty. I am patient, direct, and invested in each student's goals, and I am happy to start with a short conversation about where you are now and where you want to be.
