Work with Eliana
About
Hi! I'm a Juilliard trained cellist who's passionate about helping people learn how to learn, figure out what they want, and reap the benefits of musical training (discipline, self-teaching/study, critical thinking and problem solving, etc.) regardless of level or projected path. I love to learn with you; the back and forth possible between coach and student can be a beautiful, iterative process that ideally can teach both of us things that apply to every area of our lives. I grew up in downtown Philadelphia, moved to New York for school, and recently relocated to Austin (TX) to get to know a different part of the country. My parents are both musicians so I grew up teaching with them from a young age.

Why do I coach?
I think that learning music, regardless of level, has so much to teach us and can help us develop skills that can serve us for the rest of our lives. If taught well, learning an instrument can expose the deepest levels of self-talk and self-image, which are always things worth digging into. I love being part of that process with people and seeing tangible results.
