Work with Kyle
About
I spent nearly ten years as a Navy pilot and officer, most of it based in Europe. I helped stand up the Navy's first new helicopter squadron there in about twenty years, grew it from 2 aircraft and 50 people to 7 and 300, and later ran flight operations, scheduling, and readiness for a 350-person ship. I hold a B.S. in Economics from the Naval Academy and an MBA from USC Marshall. My most recent role was with the Navy Wounded Warrior Program, where I was the senior case manager on a seven-person team supporting 50+ sailors of my own and their families, many of them heading toward separation. The part I found most rewarding was sitting with someone at the moment their original plan fell apart and helping them build a new one: what roles to target, whether school actually made sense, how to use their VA benefits, and how to tell their story to an employer who has never worn a uniform. That's what I coach now. Positioning and resumes, getting found by recruiters instead of disappearing into application portals, running a search that produces conversations, and using AI tools well at every step so you move faster than the people you're competing with. I work with transitioning service members, veterans, and career changers. Based in San Diego

100+ Transitioning from the Military clients
I've just come out the other side of this myself, after nearly a decade as a Naval Officer and Naval Aviator. I earned an MBA from USC Marshall and ran my own recruiting across corporate, defense tech, and emerging technology companies, so I know what this market looks like right now rather than what it looked like five years ago. Before that, at Navy Wounded Warrior, I worked directly with service members transitioning out of the military, helping them translate their experience for civilian employers, improve resumes and LinkedIn profiles, prepare for interviews, explore career and education options, and understand the veteran resources available to them. Many of those separations weren't planned, which meant starting from scratch under real pressure. I can also help you use modern tools, including AI, to strengthen your search, research opportunities and companies, and communicate your experience more effectively, which is still rare enough among applicants to be a genuine edge.

Why do I coach?
Because the military gives you direction right up until the moment it doesn't. For most of your service, someone tells you the billet, the timeline, and the standard. Then it stops, and you're expected to build an entire plan from scratch in an environment with a lot of noise and very little signal. I've felt lost in that gap myself, and at Navy Wounded Warrior I sat across from a lot of people feeling the same thing. Flying is what got me comfortable operating without a script. The plan changes in the air, the information is incomplete, and you still have to make a good call. Career transitions run the same way, and the people who do well aren't the ones with the most certainty. They're the ones who prepared well and can move when something opens up. I coach because I'd rather you spend your energy preparing than guessing.
