About
I'm a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (San Francisco) and a Wharton MBA graduate, with a background that spans strategy consulting and tech growth leadership. I led go-to-market and growth strategy for LinkedIn's $4B Advertising business, and earlier in my career, advised Fortune 500 clients on operational strategy and organizational effectiveness at Accenture. Having lived in six countries — Mexico, Switzerland, Singapore, China, the U.S., and the U.K. — and worked across industries, I bring strategic rigor and genuine cultural fluency to how I coach. My focus is career and confidence: MBA admissions, consulting and tech recruiting, career pivots, interview and case prep, and the deeper work of building a narrative that actually holds together. I've helped clients land offers at MBB and Big Tech, get into top MBA programs, and navigate transitions across industries. Whatever stage you're at, I'm here to help you get clear on not just what you've done, but where you're headed, how to say it well, and believe in your strengths.

Maryam’s Management Consulting Qualifications
Experience level: Consultant
I'm Maryam, a Wharton MBA (Class of 2026) and incoming BCG consultant in San Francisco, with prior experience advising Fortune 500 clients at Accenture. I've lived the consulting recruiting process from every angle: as a candidate who cracked it for the summer internship and got a return offer, and as someone who has spent years working with MBB consultants and knowing what the best firms look for. Breaking into management consulting is one of the most demanding recruiting processes out there, but more importantly, one of the most coachable. The difference between candidates who get offers and those who don't rarely comes down to intelligence. It comes down to how clearly you can structure your thinking, how compellingly you tell your story, and how confidently you show up. Those are things you can build, and I can help you build them. Whether you're preparing for case interviews, refining your personal narrative, navigating the networking side of recruiting, or figuring out how to position a non-traditional background, I'll bring both the insider knowledge and the honest feedback you need to put your best foot forward. I know what BCG and firms like it are looking for, because that's where I'll be full-time!

Why do I coach?
I coach because someone once believed in me before I believed in myself. At nineteen, I was the only intern in my division at Hitachi Rail Europe. My manager put me in rooms and conversations most people my age never see, and treated me like I belonged there. That belief changed how I saw myself, and ultimately shaped my career. He has become my life-long mentor and no surprise, is a candidate for CEO at the company. Ten years later - throughout my path - coaches and mentors, from the most informal to formal conversations, have helped me see the through-line my story when I couldn't. Coaches help connect the dots between who we are and where we are going, while helping instill the confidence to pursue our goals fully. Coaching, to me, is about doing exactly that for others. I would love to help you own who YOU are becoming!
