AMA/Office Hours with Former Stanford GSB Admissions Director [7/15/2026] (Recording)
I spent more than 16 years working at Stanford GSB, including five years as Executive Director of the school's Center for Leadership, where I helped revamp the MBA leadership curriculum, and more than a decade as Director of the Stanford MSx Program and Director of Admissions. I taught electives, advised students, strategized with the deans, and read thousands of applications. If business school is your objective, I'm happy to offer any insight I have to the admission process and how to maximize its value proposition.

MBA Submit & Speak Part 1: The Final Ten Days [8/27/2026] (Recording)
Ten days out from your Round 1 deadline, everything feels urgent, and much of it truly is. What you may not have is time to do it all. This session opens a new three-part series, MBA Submit & Speak. We start where you are right now, in the last stretch before Round 1 closes, and we make the decisions that are still genuinely open to you. Not another round of line edits, but the calls that change what an admissions committee receives. Across the three sessions, we move from the last days before you submit to the interviews that follow. Attend all three to go from deadline to interview with one continuous plan, or drop into the single session you need most. In this session, you will learn how to spend your final ten days: • Decide school by school which programs belong in Round 1, and which one you should move to Round 2 on purpose rather than by accident. • See why the online application form itself, the biographical, employment, education, and activities sections that feel like paperwork, is read as closely as anything you write. • Learn when an optional essay or addendum helps you, and when saying nothing is the stronger answer. • Handle a recommender who has gone quiet with days left, without damaging the relationship or the recommendation. • Rank what is worth fixing in the last seventy-two hours and give yourself permission to leave the rest alone. The hardest part of the final ten days is not effort, it is order. A dozen legitimate tasks compete for the same few evenings, and from where you are sitting they all look equally important. This session puts them in sequence, so you know what to do first, what can wait until the night before, and what to let go of entirely, and you submit an application you chose rather than one the clock chose for you. I have guided more than 100 applicants into every M7 program, across the top 20 in the U.S., and into leading international programs, including INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, Esade, Oxford, Cambridge, NUS, and more. Spend your last ten days on what actually changes the outcome. Register now to claim your spot.
MiM, Masters and MBA Essays, Dissected: Same Four Questions, Almost Everywhere [10/7/2026] (Recording)
Most essay advice is a list of tips. This is the version I give paying clients, using a real submitted essay and the rebuilt one next to it. I did a Master in Management (MiM) and have spent 8+ years in strategy and finance across six countries. I have mentored clients on their MiM, Master in Finance and MBA applications across the US, Europe and Asia. I have read a lot of drafts that were competent and forgettable, which means I can tell you what a reader actually sees. In 1 hour, I will cover why fifteen prompts across five schools are really only four questions, and why that changes how much work this is. What each of the four is actually asking underneath the wording, and the word split I would recommend for each. Why most why-this-school paragraphs survive having the school name swapped, and what to write instead. The five things your goals answer needs, and the one sentence almost nobody includes that makes it read as considered rather than hopeful. The four angles on the contribution question, including the one schools care about more than applicants realise. What the personal question is actually testing, and the tone mistake people make while believing they are being self-aware. Where AI helps you, where it quietly sinks you, and the completely honest mistake that gets applicants flagged as dishonest. And the order I actually work in with clients, which starts nowhere near a first draft. This is for anyone writing essays for a MiM, Master in Finance, MBA or specialised master's, whether you have a blank page or a draft you are not happy with. Forty five minutes of content, then live Q&A, hands or chat. Bring a question about your own draft. Everyone who attends gets the Essay Ideation Workbook by email afterwards.
Fix Your Essay Before It's Read and Forgotten [8/18/2026] (Recording)
Most MBA essay drafts are competent and entirely forgettable. Learn what separates a safe essay from one that gets remembered by an admissions committee reading hundreds of applications a week.
How to Make a Big International Career Move Without Wrecking Your Momentum [7/11/2026] (Recording)
Most international moves are planned as logistical exercises of visas, postcodes, and shipping boxes. But for high-performing professionals, the real risk isn't the paperwork; it’s the loss of career momentum. Whether you are choosing between staying where you are, applying for a degree abroad, or making a direct leap into a new market, the stakes are high. In this session, we move beyond the "backpacking expat" advice. We will look at how to evaluate international opportunities through a strategic lens, ensuring your next move compounds your future rather than interrupting it. We’ll discuss the exact frameworks used with mid-career professionals and high-achieving students to choose between cities like Copenhagen, Vienna, or Sydney, and how to know when a degree is a bridge, and when it’s just expensive avoidance. By the end of this livestream, you will be able to: 1. Apply the 4-Part Decision Lens: Evaluate any move based on career upside, visa/work-right reality, ROI/financial runway, and emotional sustainability. 2. Audit Your Path: Determine whether a direct job search, a Master’s/MBA bridge, or a hybrid strategy is the most viable route for your specific career stage. 3. Identify Momentum Killers: Recognize the common mistakes (like over-researching or under-translating experience) that cause high-performers to stall during relocation. 4. Draft a Post-Move Narrative: Begin framing your move so it fits into a coherent professional story that international recruiters actually trust. Outcomes 1. A Clearer Go/No-Go Framework: A structured way to stop second-guessing your choice between staying or going. 2. A Bridge Audit: Clarity on whether that degree you're considering is actually necessary for your target market's visa and hiring rules. 3. The Translation Checklist: A list of what in your current background needs to be pruned or massaged to make sense to an employer in a different system.

CV and LORs (Recommendation letters): Two documents to get right first [10/15/2026] (Recording)
Most people write their essays first and ask for recommendation letters last. That is backwards, and this session is about why. I did a Master in Management and have spent 8+ years in strategy and finance across six countries. I have mentored clients on their MiM, Master in Finance and MBA applications across the US, Europe and Asia. In this session I will take a real submitted CV and rebuild it in front of you, two pages down to one, and then do the same with a recommendation letter. In 1 hour, I will cover why your CV is read before anything else in your file and what a reader actually sees in the first thirty seconds. The eight problems on a real application CV, marked up live, including the one that has nothing to do with your experience and everything to do with the order of your sections. Two tests you can run on your own CV tonight in ten minutes. Why your referee writes from your CV, which is the reason these two documents belong in the same conversation. How to choose a referee, and why the most impressive person who will say yes is usually the wrong answer. What separates a letter that helps from one that quietly does nothing, using a real example that looks perfectly good until you know what to look for. And the three questions that turn a vague letter into a specific one, which is the only part of this document you actually control. This is for anyone applying to a MiM, Master in Finance, MBA or specialised master's, and it is most useful if you have not yet asked anyone for a letter. Forty five minutes of content, then live Q&A, hands or chat. Everyone who attends gets the Recommendation Workbook by email afterwards.

Choosing your international master's: a decision framework [8/24/2026] (Recording)
Choosing an international master’s is rarely just about the degree. It’s a decision about country, cost, career direction, lifestyle, and whether the move actually improves your life. For many candidates, the real challenge is not collecting information, it’s making a clear decision when the options all sound plausible and every path has trade-offs. *If you’d like your decision to be considered live during the session, please contact me in advance with a brief summary of your situation and the options you’re weighing.* In this livestream, I’ll walk through a practical framework for evaluating international master’s programs with more clarity and less anxiety. We’ll look at how to compare programs across factors like academic fit, location, finances, post-study opportunity, long-term career value, and personal context. The goal is to help you move beyond vague excitement or fear and toward a decision you can actually stand behind. By the end of the session, you’ll know how to: 1. Evaluate master’s options using a decision framework, not just instinct 2. Weigh academic, financial, and lifestyle trade-offs more realistically 3. Understand what really matters when choosing to study abroad 4. Avoid common mistakes people make when they choose based on prestige alone 5. Make a more confident decision about whether, where, and what to study This session is ideal for international applicants, career switchers, and professionals considering a master’s as a strategic next step. Focus: Decision-making, program comparison, career strategy, and study-abroad trade-offs Outcome: Leave with a clearer framework for choosing the right master’s for your goals and circumstances

8 Steps to a Complete MBA App: 7) School Fit & Application Strategy [6/18/2026] (Recording)
Applying to business school can feel overwhelming! You have dozens of moving pieces: essays, short answers, video content, resume, recommendations, outreach, research, and more. This workshop is the seventh of a structured 8-part MBA Identity Mapping series designed to take you from fragmented tasks to a clear plan of action. In this session, you will map your story directly to each school’s application components and develop a clear strategy for how your application will come together. These sessions walk you step by step through building one fully aligned MBA application. In every workshop, you will be assigned tasks to complete over the next two weeks, keeping you organized and accountable. By the end, you will have strong, authentic essays and a cohesive narrative that runs consistently through your resume, goals, recommendations, school strategy, and interviews. You are absolutely welcome to attend individual sessions if you only need focused help on a specific component(s) of your MBA application. This session moves your MBA application forward by translating your story, goals, and strengths into a clear strategy for each target school: • Map your themes and key stories to each school’s essay prompts. • Determine which experiences and examples will appear in each component of the application. • Integrate insights from your outreach conversations with students and alumni. • Identify any gaps or risks in your profile and plan how to address them. This is the phase where preparation turns into a clear application plan. Instead of staring at essay prompts and wondering where to start, you will have a structured outline of exactly what each part of your application will communicate. The MBA Identity Mapping process has guided 100+ applicants into every M7 program, all other top 20 U.S. programs, and leading international programs including INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, Esade, Oxford, Cambridge, NUS, and more. Clients consistently describe it as transformative because it replaces scattered effort with forward momentum and strategic clarity. If you are ready to translate your story into a clear plan for each school on your list, this is your next step.
MBA Submit & Speak Part 3: The Interview Questions You Cannot Predict [10/8/2026] (Recording)
You cannot know which behavioral questions you will be asked. You can still be ready. This is the final session of the MBA Submit & Speak series. Invitations are landing, and the questions that help decide many interviews are the ones no list can anticipate. Rather than memorizing answers, we build the system that lets a small set of real stories cover a very large set of possible questions. Across the three sessions, we move from the last days before you submit to the interview that follows. Attend all three to go from deadline to interview with one continuous plan, or drop into the single session you need most. In this session, you will build the preparation that unpredictable questions require: • Build a story bank of five or six real experiences, and learn how a single experience answers several different questions depending on how you frame it. • Handle the failure question and the conflict question, where most applicants either flinch or confess too much. • Answer a situational question about something you have never done, without inventing experience you do not have. • Recover when a question lands and no story comes to mind. • Ask the questions you have for your interviewer, and close the conversation on your terms. This is where interviews are won and lost. Two applicants with the same record can walk out having told completely different stories about themselves, and the disparity is almost never talent. It is preparation of a kind most applicants never do. They are not short of question lists. They are either overwhelmed by how long those lists are and unsure where to start, or working through them one by one, writing out an answer to every question. Neither approach survives contact with a real interview. This session gives you a system that does. I have guided more than 100 applicants into every M7 program, across the top 20 in the U.S., and into leading international programs, including INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, Esade, Oxford, Cambridge, NUS, and more. Walk in ready for anything they ask. Register now to claim your spot.
Drop in Q&A Rnd 1 MBA- Know your story and uniqueness. Not cookie cutter advice [7/19/2026] (Recording)
Round 1 deadlines are coming. Your essay is probably a mess. Your story probably doesn't make sense yet. That's fine — that's exactly what we're going to fix. I'm Bryan, Wharton undergrad, MIT Sloan MBA, and I've spent 12 years helping people turn complicated, non-linear careers into applications that actually get read. I've seen the cookie-cutter essays. I've seen the AI-written ones. Adcoms have too. We're not doing that. In this session we'll talk about what Round 1 actually means for your chances, how to find the thread that connects your story, what schools are really asking when they say "why MBA, why now," and how to stop writing essays that sound like everyone else's. No fluff. No templates. Just the stuff that actually moves the needle. Bring your messy draft. Bring your confused career pivot. Bring your "I don't know how to explain what I do" problem. We'll figure it out together.
MIT Rnd 1 Drop in Q&A - Know your story and uniqueness. Not cookie cutter advice [7/27/2026] (Recording)
MIT Sloan is not a generic top-10 MBA program. It has a distinct culture, a distinct type of student it is looking for, and a genuinely unusual application process. If you are targeting Sloan, you need to understand all three. This session is specifically for serious MIT Sloan applicants. We will cover: - What MIT Sloan is actually like — the culture, the "mens et manus" philosophy, Action Learning, the cohort model, and what kind of person actually thrives there - Classes and programs worth knowing — specific electives, labs, and tracks that should be showing up in your application - The MIT application quirks — the cover letter format, the video statement, what they are really asking, and how to answer without sounding like everyone else - How to nail your story for Sloan specifically — MIT wants builders, doers, and people with a point of view. How do you show that? - Honest answers to your specific questions — bring your draft cover letter, your concerns, your "is this school right for me" doubts
MBA Application Teardown: Transform Your “Why MBA / Why Now” Essay [7/16/2026] (Recording)
Struggling with your Why MBA, Why Now essay? You are not alone. This session is the opening of a three-part MBA Application Teardown series, where I take real, anonymized application materials, tear them down the way an admissions reader would, and rebuild them into something sharper and more memorable, live and in front of you. We begin with the essay at the center of every application: the goals essay that answers why you want an MBA and why now. Across the three sessions, we rebuild the pieces that carry the most weight: your goals essay, your short answers, and your resume. Attend all three to see how a complete application comes together as one coherent story, or drop into the single session you need most. In this teardown, you will watch a generic goals essay become a specific, compelling one: • See how an essay that feels deeply personal to the writer reads as generic to an admissions officer, and exactly why. • Learn the difference between stating your ambition and making it credible and memorable. • Watch vague career goals sharpen into a clear, believable through-line of why an MBA and why now. • See how the rebuilt essay becomes the spine that every other part of your application must reinforce. This is the essay everything else hangs on. Once your goals essay is sharp, your resume, short answers, recommendations, and interviews all have a center of gravity to point toward. Getting it right is challenging because you cannot read your own goals the way a stranger will. Watching it happen to someone else's essay is a great way to see your own clearly. I have guided more than 100 applicants into every M7 program, across the top 20 in the U.S., and into leading international programs, including INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, Esade, Oxford, Cambridge, NUS, and more. Get the essays that everything else depends on admission-ready. Register now to claim your spot in the live teardown.
MBA Application Teardown: Transform Your Resume [8/13/2026] (Recording)
Your MBA resume is not just a record of what you have done. It is the proof of leadership, impact, and readiness behind the story you are asking admissions committees to believe. This is the final session of a three-part MBA Application Teardown series, where I take real, anonymized application materials, tear them down the way an admissions reader would, and rebuild them into something sharper and more memorable, live and in front of you. We close with the document that should prove everything your essays claim: the MBA resume. Across the three sessions, we rebuild the pieces that carry the most weight: your goals essay, your short answers, and your resume. Attend all three to see how a complete application comes together as one coherent story, or drop into the single session you need most. In this teardown, you will watch a reformatted work resume become a true MBA resume: • See why a resume that looks finished is often quietly costing you. • Watch job-description bullets become evidence of leadership, impact, and growth. • Learn how an MBA resume differs from a professional one, and why the difference matters to an admissions reader. • See how the resume reinforces the same narrative running through your essays and short answers. This is the document applicants often spend the least time on, and admissions officers read first. With Round 1 deadlines close, it is also a fast, high-impact fix still available to you. A resume that simply lists what you did becomes a resume that shows who you are and where you are going. It is also the hardest piece to judge in your own application, because you are too close to your own work to see what a reader sees in the first ten seconds. I have guided more than 100 applicants into every M7 program, across the top 20 in the U.S., and into leading international programs, including INSEAD, London Business School, IESE, Esade, Oxford, Cambridge, NUS, and more. Turn a familiar document into a powerful application asset. Register now to claim your spot.
