Comprehensive STEM Master's Application Package
This package provides personalized guidance through every stage of the STEM Master's application process, from strategically preparing your application materials and identifying programs, to submitting polished applications and preparing for interviews. Throughout the process, we'll work collaboratively to develop a cohesive application that authentically reflects your experiences, interests, and long-term goals. This package includes: - Deep Dive Interview and Planning Sessions: We'll begin by discussing your academic background, experiences, technical skills, career goals, and specific interests in pursuing this degree in depth. We will also identify your priorities for the application cycle, organize materials logistics, and create a strategy tailored to each program you're applying to. - Program Selection: We'll review the MS program(s) you have selected, taking time to clarify why you have selected each program and identify program fit in relation to your interests, academic and professional background, career and life goals, and preferred environment. - Application Strategy: Together, we'll identify the experiences, skills, and accomplishments that best demonstrate your potential and develop a strategy for communicating those strengths across every component of your application. - Statement of Purpose Brainstorming, Advising & Editing: Through an iterative process, we'll develop a compelling statement that clearly communicates your journey, intellectual curiosity, future goals, and fit with each program. My role is to help you strengthen your narrative while ensuring the final product remains authentic to your voice. - Resume/CV Review: We'll review your resume and work together to present your experiences, any publications, presentations, technical skills, leadership, awards, and other relevant accomplishments in a clear, organized, and impactful way. - Letters of Recommendation: We'll discuss how to develop thoughtful outreach and letter request strategies, and ensure your letter writers have the information they need to write detailed, personalized, and strong recommendations for you. - Supplemental Essays Advising & Editing: In addition to your Statement of Purpose, we'll work through supplemental essays, diversity statements, and any other required application materials. We'll ensure each document reflects your authentic voice while addressing the priorities and values of each individual program. - Complete Application Review: Before submission, we'll conduct one final comprehensive review of your entire application to ensure every component works together to present a clear, cohesive, and compelling picture of your preparation and potential as a future graduate student in each program. - Interview Coaching: If applicable, we'll prepare for interviews together through mock interviews tailored to STEM admissions. We'll discuss how to confidently communicate your experiences, explain your interests, answer common questions, and navigate conversations about future directions with clarity and confidence. - Ongoing Support: Throughout the application cycle, feel free to message for asynchronous support for questions that arise between meetings. I'll also provide timely feedback on submitted materials, and ensure our strategy meets your needs throughout the admissions process.
What's included
Timeline & Package | This package is designed to support you throughout your MS application cycle, beginning with program planning and application development and continuing through application submission and interview preparation for the school(s) you have selected. Please note: Schools selected for coaching may not be exchanged once work has begun, however you may choose to upgrade your package or purchase additional hours as needed, pending confirmation of coaching bandwidth. Availability | I am available for meetings on Monday through Friday, and will do my best to accommodate meetings at times that work across time zones, as I am located in Spain (GMT+2). Here’s a helpful tool to compare time, including daylight saving time: https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/ I typically do not schedule meetings on weekends or holidays, although I may be able to accommodate requests around major application deadlines, particularly during the winter application season. Scheduling Sessions & Email Response Times | Please schedule sessions at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible so that I have sufficient time to review your materials and prepare for our meeting. For questions sent through messaging, you can generally expect a response within 24 to 36 hours on weekdays. Feedback on Application Materials | I will provide detailed feedback on your application materials, including your Statement of Purpose, resume/CV, supplemental essays, and other required documents for the school(s) you have selected, within 2 to 3 business days. Meeting Frequency | I will meet you wherever you are in the admissions process, and adapt to your working style and needs. The application process is a highly personal and iterative process, and some students enjoy a structured meeting date and time for accountability, while others prefer setting meetings according to their needs at the moment. Either way, I will work with you to find what works. Expectations | Important Note: While admission to any graduate program can never be guaranteed, I am committed to helping you develop an application that authentically reflects your experiences, communicates your full potential, and demonstrates your fit with each program, in *your* voice.
