Description
Editing and storytelling support for graduate and professional school applicants in business, policy, finance, the arts and academic programs. By the time you apply to graduate school, you already have a story. My job is to help you tell it so your next step feels inevitable. We'll work on your personal statement or statement of purpose through up to 3 rounds, plus up to 3 supplemental essays with 2 rounds each. I'll help you decide what to emphasize, cut what doesn't serve your story, and connect your past experience clearly to your future goals. Additional supplemental essays can be added separately. This package covers essay editing only. It does not include school selection, recommender strategy or interview coaching.

Scheduling: Sessions are held virtually in Eastern Time. Sessions may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Sessions missed without notice count toward your package hours. Communication: I aim to respond as quickly as possible, and always within 1–2 business days. If something is urgent or time-sensitive, such as a deadline that day, let me know and I'll do my best to get back to you the same day. Student ownership: I guide, question and edit, but I never write essays or application materials for students. All work submitted must be the student's own. Revision rounds: Rounds are counted per essay as outlined in the package. Additional rounds can be added at my hourly rate. Confidentiality: All student and family information shared during our work together is kept strictly confidential. No guarantee of admission: Admission decisions are made solely by each institution and depend on many factors outside my control. Every student will receive my full effort and attention, but no outcome, including admission, scholarship or financial aid, can be guaranteed.

Harvard grad editing essays for Stanford, Oxford, Rhodes & Schwarzman
A strong graduate application connects where you've been to where you're going, clearly and convincingly. Helping applicants make that connection is what I do best. I've edited essays for successful applicants to graduate programs at Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Oxford, LSE, Carnegie Mellon and WashU Olin, as well as to two of the most competitive scholarships in the world, the Rhodes and Schwarzman. The applicants I've worked with came from very different fields, from finance to fine arts to video game design, but each needed the same thing: a clear story connecting their past experience to their future goals. My own career has given me a practical sense of how professional experience reads on the page. Since graduating from Harvard, where I was chosen as the Harvard Orator to deliver the graduating speech at Commencement, I've worked in strategy, product and account management and co-founded two startups. I know how to take a resume full of projects and responsibilities and find the narrative underneath it. I'll help you decide what to emphasize, cut what doesn't serve your story, and sharpen every draft until your essays sound confident, specific and unmistakably like you.
