Prepare for your dental school interviews with personalized coaching from a former University of Western Ontario Dental School Admissions Committee member with more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, education and mentoring. This package is designed to help applicants communicate confidently, organize their responses and demonstrate their motivation, professionalism and readiness for dental education. Your package includes: An initial assessment of your interview experience, target programs and areas of concern. Preparation for common dental school interview questions, including motivation for dentistry, personal experiences, ethical reasoning, communication and professionalism. Guidance on structured responses for traditional interviews and Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) scenarios. One 60-minute interview preparation session. One 60-minute simulated interview incorporating traditional and MMI-style questions. One 60-minute feedback and improvement session, including a targeted follow-up practice exercise. What you'll receive: Three hours of individual interview preparation and coaching. A simulated dental school interview experience. Personalized feedback on communication, response structure, reasoning and professionalism. Practical recommendations for improving interview performance. An individualized preparation plan for continued practice. The objective is to help you communicate your own experiences and perspectives effectively, rather than memorize scripted answers. Interview coaching does not guarantee an interview invitation, admission or a particular admissions outcome.

My coaching approach draws on my experience participating in dental school admissions decisions and more than 30 years of clinical, academic and professional mentoring. We begin by discussing your target dental schools, interview format, previous experience and areas where you would like to improve. Through individual coaching, simulated interview questions and structured feedback, I help you develop clearer responses, stronger communication skills and greater confidence. Our sessions focus on authentic answers, ethical reasoning, professional judgment and the ability to communicate effectively under interview conditions. You will leave with individualized feedback and a practical plan for continued preparation.

Former Dental Admissions Committee Member | Dentist, Educator & Mentor
I bring more than 30 years of experience as a dentist, educator, mentor, and healthcare leader, together with first-hand experience evaluating dental-school applicants. I served on the University of Western Ontario Dental School Admissions Committee, participating directly in applicant assessment and admissions decisions, and on the Canadian Dental Association Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) Committee. I have also consulted on two proposed dental-school development initiatives involving student recruitment, admissions strategy, and applicant assessment criteria. Throughout my career, I have mentored future dentists at every stage of their development—from aspiring dental students participating in shadowing and work-and-learn programs, to undergraduate dental students completing summer internships, to newly graduated dentists in postgraduate clinical training. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor in Periodontics at Western and have delivered more than 255 lectures, workshops, seminars, and scientific presentations. When I coach an applicant, I bring both the perspective of someone who has sat on the admissions side of the table and someone who has spent a career practicing, teaching, and mentoring in dentistry. I help students identify what genuinely differentiates them, develop a thoughtful application strategy, communicate their experiences authentically, strengthen personal statements, and prepare confidently for interviews. My goal is not simply to help you gain admission—it is to help you understand why dentistry is right for you and how to present the strongest, most authentic version of yourself to an admissions committee.
