Description

One of the hardest parts of writing a law school essay isn't the writing. It's deciding which story to tell. With this session, work with an experienced coach to uncover the experiences, values, and parts of your identity that will resonate most with admissions committees. This session includes the following: 1. Background Discussion: Begin by walking through your background, experiences, and motivations with your coach. This conversation sets the foundation for identifying the stories that make you distinct. 2. Targeted Thought Exercises: Work through a series of exercises designed to surface themes, perspectives, and qualities you may not have considered. Explore multiple possible narratives before committing to one. 3. Narrative Mapping: Identify your most compelling stories and map out how they can come together into a cohesive, authentic essay. Leave with a clear direction before you start drafting. This session is ideal for anyone starting a personal statement, diversity statement, or supplemental essay who wants guidance on which stories to tell and how to approach them. Stanford Law | First-Gen + Reverse Splitter | Personal Statement Expert

Law school admissions is about more than numbers. I learned that firsthand as a first-gen applicant and reverse-splitter. I knew my personal statement and other written materials would need to contextualize my experiences and demonstrate why law school was the right path for me. Choosing the right stories and putting them into words led to outcomes I never imagined possible. I was rejected from just one of the 16 schools I applied to, and was admitted to Stanford Law School, my dream school. That admission opened doors I hadn't let myself imagine, from working in big law at two different firms to spending a summer on Apple's legal team. Since graduating from USC, I've guided dozens (if not hundreds) of applicants through the admissions process, helping them write compelling statements that got them into top law schools. I believe everyone's story is more unique than they realize, and my job is to help you find that story and tell it in the most authentic, genuine way possible. The right personal statement doesn't just get you in. It can change the entire trajectory of your career.
