About
Whether you’re exploring graduate school, considering research opportunities, navigating a transition, or wondering what comes next, it can help to have someone think it through with you. That’s where my work begins. Through Anglón Practice, I offer graduate school advising, mindful coaching, and mindfulness meditation courses and guided practice. We might explore whether a master’s or PhD fits your goals, evaluate research opportunities and mentoring environments, or work through a decision or change in your life. Through mindful coaching or meditation courses, you can also explore ways to bring greater awareness and self-compassion into everyday experience. My advising draws on more than 20 years in graduate education, admissions, research pathways, funding, and student support, including leadership at MIT and experience at Harvard and the University of Maryland. I’m also a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and a current USC PhD student. I’m completing my mindfulness teacher training, with certification anticipated in January 2027. Across all three streams, my approach is mindful, collaborative, culturally responsive, and systems-aware. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you, make information and options easier to understand, and pay attention to the strengths, relationships, resources, and circumstances shaping your choices. Specific mindfulness and self-compassion practices are offered with choice and adapted to your goals and comfort. My role isn’t to decide for you. It’s to help you make informed and intentional choices that fit your goals, your context, and the life you’re trying to build. Schedule a free introductory call to talk about what brings you here and whether working together would be useful.

50+ Life Coaching clients
You may be facing a decision, adjusting to a change, balancing competing priorities, or wondering what you want more of in your life. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we begin. Coaching offers space to slow down, think it through, understand what matters to you, and explore a response that fits your circumstances. I’m a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). My background also includes more than 20 years in graduate education, admissions, and student support, helping people navigate consequential choices and periods of change. I bring thoughtful questions, practical reflection, a mindful approach, and attention to the context around you. Together, we may notice patterns shaping your choices, reconnect with strengths and sources of support, and explore what feels wise and workable now. That response may involve action, a boundary, a conversation, asking for support, rest, waiting, experimentation, acceptance, or letting something go. Sometimes it may also mean making more room for joy, meaning, creativity, or possibility. Mindfulness and self-compassion practices are optional. You bring your goals, your questions, and your lived experience. You remain the decision-maker.

Why do I coach?
I coach because people deserve more than simply getting through the next day, the next semester, or the next season of life. Throughout my work in graduate education, I watched talented people earn meaningful opportunities while also navigating unspoken expectations, competing priorities, self-doubt, isolation, and the pressure to keep performing. Having room to slow down, feel seen, and reconnect with what matters can help us understand our choices and consider possibilities we hadn’t noticed before. Coaching offers that space. You can bring a question you haven’t resolved, a change you’re considering, or something you want to understand more fully. We begin there. Sometimes our work is about making a decision or solving a problem. Sometimes it’s about making more room for joy, meaning, connection, or a greater sense of possibility.
